I am so happy I decided to invest in the Creative Scoop Sydney workshop! I was blown away by the generosity of Jessie and her team in regards to the knowledge they shared. The space they created was inclusive, inspiring, and deeply valuable. I've had many years of photography experience and I took away SO much from this two day course. Every question was answered, there was so much care and thought put into the delivery of the course and I loved that we had the opportunity to get hands on experience as well. I really can't recommend this course enough. I feel more inspired than I have in a long time!
A wonderful 2-day workshop covering how to work with multiple light set-ups, props and styling. Jesse and the team were fantastic and had a wealth of knowledge. I am excited to explore some of these practical techniques in my photography work!
I took the Creative Scoop product photography course at a point in my journey where I was already experienced behind the camera, but something still felt missing.
I had learned everything on my own, through trial and error, practice, and intuition. And while that got me far, I always had this feeling that there were gaps in my knowledge, things I couldn’t quite define, but could definitely feel in my work.
This course changed that completely!
Creative Scoop is not just “another photography course.” It’s incredibly rich in knowledge, but more importantly, it brings clarity. It helped me connect all the dots I didn’t even realize were disconnected. Suddenly, things that used to feel confusing became simple, intentional, and precise.
What I appreciated the most is how deeply it goes into the why behind every decision — lighting, composition, styling, storytelling. It doesn’t just show you how to create beautiful images, it teaches you how to think like a professional in commercial and product photography.
After taking this course, I can confidently say that my work improved significantly. My images became more refined, more intentional, more elevated. I feel like I have a stronger creative direction, and a clearer understanding of how to execute ideas at a higher level.
But beyond the technical improvement, this course gave me something even more valuable, confidence. Confidence in my process, in my decisions, and in the value I bring as a creator.
If you’re self-taught like I was, and you feel like you’re “almost there” but not quite, this course will bridge that gap. And if you’re just starting out, it will give you a foundation that most people take years to build.
Highly, highly recommended.
P.S. Jessie is also such a great teacher!
Genuinely enjoyable to listen to and watch :)
Incredible 2-day workshop! Perfect for any wanting to learn commercial photography or refine their skills. Jesse also shares so many great tips and tricks for on set etiquette and helps you grow your business mindset. Would HIGHLY recommend for both product and portrait photographers whether your a freelancer or work agency side.
Amazing insight into the back end of FJC, walking away feeling inspired, motivated & confident.
Jesse is a wizard at products & lighting - thank you!
This workshop demystified studio lighting and made it much less of an intimidating space to work in. I feel more confident already!
This felt world-class and was so fun and interesting. It went above & beyond in the intel, I feel spoilt!
Such a brilliant workshop from Jesse and the team, so knowledgable and zero gatekeeping which is so invaluable.
Such an incredible day full of valuable information and insights which I can implement into my shoots in the future.
I loved today. There is so much information and it's great seeing everything happening in person.
I really enjoyed a day learning from Jesse and how she approaches to building a lighting set up! Being among other creatives was a great social injection! Thank you for your knowledge & time!
My go to!!!
This has officially become my go-to recommendation whenever someone asks me what product photography course they should take. It genuinely covers everything — and anyone who does product work knows it’s never just a simple point-and-shoot situation. There are so many moving parts, and this course actually walks you through them in a way that makes sense.
I’m still not even that far in, but I’m already kind of blown away. I’ve tried picking up tips from random videos and articles over the years, but everything always felt a bit scattered and never quite what I needed. This course feels like someone finally sat me down and said, “Okay, here’s how this actually works,” without making it overly technical or overwhelming.
And honestly, the lighting section deserves its own shoutout. Lighting models used to stress me out so much — it always felt like there were a million ways to get it wrong. Before my first proper shoot I was low-key panicking, but after watching the walkthrough, something finally clicked. The way it was broken down made it feel so doable. I went into a recent campaign shoot feeling way more chill and actually understanding what I was doing, instead of just guessing and hoping for the best. That alone made such a difference.
Overall, this course has honestly been one of the best things I’ve treated myself to. It’s super practical, surprisingly fun, and it actually makes me excited to get shooting again. Every lesson gives me that little “ohhh, I get it now!” moment, and it’s such a confidence boost after feeling stuck for so long. I’m genuinely so happy I found this — it already feels like it’s leveling up my work!!!!
Thank you Creative Scoop team!
I genuinely loved this course. It goes beyond just photography techniques and really dives into how to build a sustainable creative business — something I’d always found intimidating before. The business modules were inspiring and actually made me feel confident to take action. The templates, resources, and real-life examples gave me a framework to follow.
The photography techniques were equally valuable. I really appreciate how Jesse explains the reasoning behind each setup so we can understand the logic, not just copy it. I’ve learned so much about multi-light setups and how to use different tools effectively. It’s truly levelled up my photography skills!
There is so much content in this course!! Although I am an experienced photographer, I still purchased the course when I was looking to advance my approach to multi light set ups & gels. Jesse shares so much valuable information and starts right from scratch so regardless of where you are on your photography journey there is a benefit for all. I really enjoyed the more complex set ups, the DIY studio set ups and I have even now created my own mock bathroom for my studio!
Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge and techniques - I love it when as an industry we can learn from each other :)
"I just purchased your course. I'm on the 2nd module so far & I'm loving every bit of it. This is the most valuable product I've purcases. You're a great teacher and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge."
I joined as an early bird student and was so excited for it to launch, as I had purchased it to restart my photography career after taking a year-long break. At the time, I felt stuck, uninspired, and unsure of my direction.
The course itself is truly amazing — it’s packed with valuable information and so thoughtfully structured. It’s clear that a lot of time, care, and genuine effort went into creating it. My favourite part was definitely the lighting section, as it’s something I used to struggle with. Jesse did such a great job breaking down how to build lighting step by step, showing how each light affects the scene, and explaining the use of gels in a way that finally made sense to me.
Although I’ve since decided to step away from photography to focus on my new passion for 3D/CGI art, I still believe this course is absolutely worth it. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced photographer, Creative Scope is one of the most valuable courses I’ve ever purchased.
Thank you to Jesse, Maddie, and the entire team for creating such a fantastic learning experience.
Okay I might be slightly biased (marketing manager at FJC here 👋), but honestly, this is the course every beginner photographer needs.
Before taking The Creative Scoop course, I had only ever done food photography for my previous social media job and by that, I mean pick up a camera, hope for the best, and pray something turned out usable. I had no idea what any of the settings meant, let alone being terrified by the thought of using a strobe.
Fast forward to now, and I can confidently set up, shoot, and style Propsyland campaign shoots using 4–5 different lighting setups. The lessons are so practical and easy to follow, and the free Lighting Cheat Sheet has become my absolute go-to on every shoot (I've literally printed it out to have in my bag).
As someone who never saw photography as “my thing,” I can honestly say this course changed that. I’ve gained skills for life and I can now create photos I’m genuinely proud of.
Whether you’re a complete beginner like I was, or wanting to learn more complex skills - this course gives you everything you need to feel confident behind the camera. I can't recommend this course enough!
I know it's a little premature to be giving feedback (I'm only a few videos in), but I'm honestly SO happy to have found this course that I couldn't contain my praise!
I'v been ready to take action on my goals for a while now, but I've been truly overwhelmed with not knowing where to start. Also, you'd think there was a bounty of education and resources on the web but honestly a lot of it felt quite dated and didn't feel consistent with the type of work I wanted to be doing.
I stumbled upon this course and it literally came at the perfect time! It's definitely a bit of a risk investing in that expense, but I can already tell it's going to be worth it. Your content is incredibly detailed but also concise and to the point. It's literally perfect so far.
Thank you so much for putting this out into the world!
As the owner of a marketing agency specialising in e-commerce digital marketing, I first worked with Florence James Collective on a photo shoot for one of our brands and was absolutely blown away by their talent. So when The Creative Scoop course came up, I knew it would be packed with invaluable knowledge.
I’m not a photographer; I just shoot ad hoc content for our brands using an iPhone, but even so, this course has been incredibly valuable. Jesse’s expertise and first-hand experience shine through in every lesson, making complex photography concepts accessible, whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced photographer looking to refine your skills.
For beginners, the course provides practical, easy-to-implement lessons that helped me immediately improve my lighting, camera settings, product arrangement and composition. I loved the creative tips, like how to build realistic-looking bathroom setups or use props to create dynamic, engaging scenes beyond just a flat photo.
For advanced photographers, the course goes deep into high-level techniques like retouching, compositing and fine-tuning images to a professional standard. Beyond photography, there’s an incredible module on business skills, covering everything from proposals and quoting to running a successful Instagram for a creative business. Even as a marketing agency owner, I found this section incredibly insightful.
Whether you’re a photographer, a brand looking to elevate your in-house content or a creative business owner wanting to sharpen your skills, The Creative Scoop is an absolute must. It’s a game-changer.
